Job Description

Hampshire County Council currently have an excellent opportunity for an established experienced recruitment leader to strategically oversee the effective on-going delivery of the recruitment operating model, whilst continuing the improvement journey. This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months. Key Attributes Figurehead leadership down into the functional teams, empowering team managers to operate the model effectively whilst maintaining oversight of a standard operating model and overall performance. Senior stakeholder management and requirement to operate and build effective relationships at a senior level with internal and external stakeholders. Requirement to continue to build on the foundations of new technology and ways of working established in 2017/18 Ability to work within and effectively lead a self-service recruitment operating model. Hampshire CC model relies on effective line managers within our partner organisations, and a key aspect of the role is to continue to use insight to drive education, understanding and compliance across our partner organisations. Significant experience of recruitment services, technical knowledge to be able to support, guide and shape the teams (sourcing, branding etc.). Coach and nurture technical skills throughout the team where needed. In depth knowledge and experience of a recruitment operating model Strong influencing and relationship management and ability to flex their style as appropriate in a demanding and complex business and culturally different environments Experience of strong operational leadership, maintaining and improving organisational outcomes and the customer / candidate experience Knowledge and commitment to Diversity and valuing difference, and ability to embed into strategies, policy and methods Excellent knowledge and experience of all HR functions and current best practice Significant experience at a senior level, in a large multifunctional organisation(s), with a successful track record of leading and motivating a large team to achieve defined objectives Experience of leading a large HR Recruitment function In-depth knowledge and experience of Recruitment and being up to date on current issues and modern best practice An understanding of national and internal recruitment marketplace and current contextual issues Experience of developing and using analytics/MI to inform evidence-based solutions and improvementDeveloped and delivered leading edge digital / technology based resourcing solutions Connect2Hampshire, part of Hampshire & Kent Commercial Services LLP, is an equal opportunities Employment Agency & Business and positively encourages applications from all suitably qualified and eligible candidates
