Castle Employment are working with a highly respected client based on the outskirts of York who are recruiting an experienced Recruiter to join their HR team. As the HR and Recruitment Officer you will be responsible for the attraction, sourcing and vetting of applicants within a highly diverse and regulated setting. Suitable candidates will either have worked in internal recruitment or for an agency and you must have worked within a highly regulated setting and have experience managing high volumes of compliance administration. The role of the Recruitment Manager: Support the Human Resources Manager with the day to day running of the Human Resources Department Support the recruitment process to ensure compliance with Safer Recruitment legislation. This includes placing adverts, reviewing CVs, arranging and conducting interviews. Ensure that all necessary references and pre-recruitment checks have been completed in line with the Safer Recruitment Policy. Arrange the booking and document clearance of agency staff to work in various departments across the site Administer and maintain employee records, work with the Human Resources Manager to ensure the Single Central Record is up to date and accurate at all times Complete file audits for new starters Allocate work to the Human Resources Assistants Provide support for new and ongoing Human Resources projects Attend and participate in meetings as required Carry out any other duties commensurate with the role, as requested by the Human Resources ManagerThe ideal candidate: You will be a team player who is able to work with colleagues at all levels throughout the business and you will have excellent communication skills. You will be highly organised and meticulous about detail especially on collating and conducting pre-employment checks within a highly regulated setting. Ideally you will be happy to be hands on and be involved in all areas of recruitment and on-boarding. You will have supervised staff in the past and be able to work with a diverse team across the business and have the ability to manage upwards as well as your team.
