King's College London are looking to recruit an interim International Regional Manager, for the management of international recruitment. Good knowledge of markets and management skills. The role will be managing 5 people and assisting the Head of International Marketing with general operations. The information below is based on the full time position, so not all aspects will necessary be required. Responsibilities and objectives ; * Report to and be responsible to the Head of International Marketing; * Be responsible for the management of a medium-sized team of Senior International Officers, International Officers and International Coordinators for the designated regions (based both in London and overseas); * Have overall responsibility for the management of a large multi-regional budget * Have sole responsibility for the planning and implementation of recruitment strategy and tactics in one particular region; * Work collaboratively with the Head of International Marketing, Senior International Offers, International Officers and International Coordinators to devise and implement strategies that identify and exploit key overseas markets, raising the profile of the university and successfully helping to achieve the outcomes that advance the university’s international strategy; * Develop and disseminate expert knowledge of designated regions (market trends, demands and ways of attracting international students) to the wider Marketing Department, the Admissions Department as other relevant Professional Services and academic departments within the university; * Negotiate with and influence key academic and administrative staff to ensure that a consistent, comprehensive and cohesive student recruitment plan is delivered; * Identify and develop links with universities, government agencies and other relevant organisations in the region, in close collaboration with the Head of International Marketing, Director of Marketing and senior academic staff; * Supervise all strategic and operational aspects of marketing and student recruitment-related partnership development, which are framed in the relevant individual country marketing plans; * Ensure that performance objectives and operational targets are met concerning specific areas of international recruitment, global engagement partnerships, study abroad/exchange, alumni and scholarship agency activity in the designated regions as set out in country marketing plans; * Develop effective working relationships with a range of external audiences, including partners and representatives, professional organisations such as the British Council, BUILA, UKVI, UKTI, Universities UK, UCAS etc. and attend relevant professional conferences and workshops to ensure that the university is aware of current government issues and updates in relation to overseas student recruitment; * Regularly advise and inform the university community of relevant regional trends and developments via meetings, forums, one-to-ones, and other means of communication; * Contribute to the development of on and off-line marketing tools, including King’s own virtual fairs, as well as developing printed materials to support international recruitment activities; * Have overall management responsibility for formulating and managing the department’s contact strategy with regard to dedicated student recruitment agents, specifically those within the post-holder’s designated overseas territories and regions; * Manage communications with the Alumni Office to develop a system for best utilising alumni networks in the designated regions for the purposes of student recruitment activities; * Be a fully integrated member of the Marketing Department and as such work with the team on a range of team building and learning exercises, general university-wide marketing activities and team meetings; * Be prepared to travel overseas and work outside of normal business hours as may be required; * Deputise as required for Head of International Marketing at internal and external meetings and events; * Perform other such duties as specified by the Head of International Marketing or Director of Marketing
