Job Description

Learner Recruitment Consultant ST5077 Cardiff Salary is £22-25k per annum Permanent, full time. The Role: To source new learners for programmes outside mainstream referral channels. Establishing relationships with local, regional, European social funded projects, local schools, voluntary sector programmes and community based facilities to attract new learners. To source new starts for programmes establishing relationships with local and national employers. Responsibilities: Specific; • Identify, engage and recruit new learners to programmes. • Using a variety of sales, business development and marketing techniques in order to attract new learners. • Working to key performance indicators. • Establish new business and maximising on existing business partnerships for learner opportunities. • Play an active part in the selling and endorsement of all training products and services to attract new learners. • New learner generation, including sales calls, cold calling, mail shot activities and working within the community to engage with potential learners. • Building effective relationships with employers. • Building effective relationships with local schools and other relevant community based venues to attract new learners. • Liaising with 3rd party organisations, partnership companies, charities, voluntary and educational networks as required. • Attending networking events as required. • Arranging and attending promotional events to attract new learners and to raise the profile of the organisation as required. • Actively sell, promote and raise awareness of the organisation and services offered. • Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationship with all stakeholders, ensuring the best image is promoted at all times. • Conducting business meetings with local stakeholders on a regular basis. • Maintain an awareness of changes in the local business market, identify new opportunities. • Work with the Business Development Executives passing on sales leads and new business opportunities • Build strategic relationships with Contract Managers, Centre Coordinators, Tutors and all other employees to ensure a seamless transition of new learners onto programme. General; • To ensure security of company assets. • To comply with all company policies and procedures. • To comply with the companies safeguarding policy & procedure and the code of conduct. • To comply with Equal Opportunities Legislation and be proactive in challenging prejudice, discrimination and stereotyping. • To implement in full the Company’s quality policies and procedures. • To consult the Company Health and Safety Policy with regards to their specific responsibilities as described in the general arrangements section • To give consideration to their actions at work as to how they may affect the safety of Learners, clients and visitors to Company premises. • Support organisations core values. • To attend external meetings and networking events as required. • To take responsibility for personal continuous development. • Co-operate with all staff to achieve a healthy and safe workplace and reporting any risks identified, at the company’s or others premises, to the designated Health and Safety Officer. • Other duties that may be identified from time to time by the Company. • Attend relevant training / personal development programmes. Education/Skills/attributes required: Essential; • Experience within relationships management / customer service / sales. • Experience of working with young people and /or vulnerable adults. • Strong relevant local networks. • Good organisational skills. • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. • Strong presentation skills. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Business Development. • Excellent persuasive and negotiating skills. • IT Literate. • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding. • Self-motivated, Self-Starter. • Comfortable with delivery against personal targets. • Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. • Able to empathise with young, disadvantaged learners. • Open and honest team-player with integrity. • Flexible approach to work. • Reliable. • Flexible to change. Desirable; • Experience within training/employability industry. • Full driving licence with the use of own vehicle. • Knowledge of relevant local organisations, particularly relating to the NEET agenda
