Ixion, part of Shaw Trust, is a national, not-for-profit, Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ training provider of skills and education. We help people to develop and learn new skills to help them to progress into work and further their career.
We are looking for a Learner Recruitment Officer to join our team in Central London. This role will work remotely, with a mixture of home working and being out and about in the community (subject to Covid restrictions).
As a Learner Recruitment Officer you will promote our learning opportunities to referral companies in London, to encourage learner referrals. You will work closely with referral companies, including the Department for Work and Pensions and the National Careers Service, building positive working relationships and keeping key contacts informed of available learner opportunities at Ixion.
You will manage the application process for referred learners, ensuring eligibility checks and sign up documentation including funding paperwork is completed. You be confident to gather data and produce reports to demonstrate learner engagement, retention and progression.
You will have a monthly target to sign up 20 learners a month, and whilst working autonomously, you will also have the support of the learner recruitment team to share ideas and best practice, and the wider Ixion team including the Apprenticeship team.
You will enjoy engaging with a wide range of people, using your excellent communication and customer service skills to engage with our referring partners and our learners. You will be organised and proactive, with good attention to detail able to keep timely and accurate records. You will be familiar with the central London area, able to travel to our referral partner locations (subject to Covid restrictions).
Whilst experience from a further education background would be beneficial, we welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills, we provide full training and the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills and progress your career.
Peripatetic role, based in the community vising our referral partners and working from home when not out and about.
