Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Progression / Recruitment Coordinator to join our team based in Leicester where you will be helping people to improve their lives. We provide great training, opportunities for progression, not to mention great job satisfaction. Salary scale is £18-24K per annum*. The Progression / Recruitment Coordinator’s role will involve: To market, advertise and ‘sell’ students to potential employers and businesses for work experience, jobs, apprenticeships and further education opportunities To set, manage and monitor students’ Study Programmes To undertake regular in-centre and placement reviews to measure students’ progress To have a bank of at least 50 live employers form a selection of career sectors and source work-experience placements for all students To undertake robust risk assessments To ensure students have access to good quality career guidance To progress students into positive destinations – apprenticeships, employment or further education To deliver employability based workshops to groups as appropriate The successful Progression / Recruitment Coordinator will: Hold a Level 2 English and Maths – or working towards Have excellent communication skills Be able to persuade and influence others and deal with conflict/challenging behaviour Be highly motivated Be persistent and tenacious Have experience of working to targets and deadlines Be able to remain positive, with a bubbly, engaging personality Have a willingness to develop others Have excellent organisation and planning skills Be able to work on own initiative Be able to build a rapport with target group but also communicate professionally with employers/progression sources Ideally applicants will have experience within an outreach, sales, marketing or recruitment environment along with working with 16-18 year olds. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure. This role involves business travel to employers/progression sources, so post holder must be mobile and willing to travel. *Fixed contract to April 2017.
