FULL TIME PERMANENT RECRUITER £18000 - £225000 p.a. + BONUS EAST OF ENGLAND Our client is seeking a number of Recruiters to recruit young people to participate in the National Citizen Service across the East of England, based in Basildon but extensive regional travel. The NCS is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity open to 15, 16 and 17 year olds across England. It is a unique programme mixing fun, discovery and challenge, designed to build confidence and prepare young people for their journey into adulthood. Groups of young people spend time away from home, doing challenging physical outdoor activity, before returning to their communities to explore some of the social issues in their local area. Through this they will also learn more about themselves, and develop new skills. In their teams they then plan and deliver a social action project that benefits their community. There is a celebration event for graduates of the programme, and a range of opportunities to support them in their future development. You will be involved in a fast-paced sales based environment, recruiting young people on to the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme. You must engage with a socially diverse mix of 15, 16 & 17 year olds and encourage them up to take part in NCS. Reporting into the Recruitment Manager, who will generate leads with schools, colleges and specialist providers. As Recruiter you will deliver presentations to large groups of young people via assemblies, stalls, careers events, parent’s evenings etc. This role is target driven and requires a self-motivated individual and target driven individual. You will: • Lead on recruitment of young people for upcoming recruitment campaigns, via schools, colleges and youth groups events • Have the ability to present to large audiences of young people creating enthusiasm and a passion to take part in NCS • Build and maintain relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders including teachers, parents/guardians, community leaders, governors etc in order to gain support for NCS • Proactively identify new opportunities to recruit young people onto the programme • Have the ability to adapt presentation style to a varied audience • Possess the ability to work one to one with young people offering advice and guidance to support them with NCS and graduate opportunities (post NCS) • Work with young people on an individual basis to offer Information, Advice and Guidance in relation to NCS on a daily basis. • Establish a portfolio of schools to work with on a very regular basis to establish strong working relationships. • Work closely with the contact centre to ensure expressions of interest are followed up and that payments support options have been administered. You will need: • Experience of working directly with teams of young people (either in voluntary or paid capacity) • Sales experience within a target environment • Good knowledge of the local area • Public speaking experience • An energetic, enthusiastic and persuasive personality with a ‘can do’ attitude • Strong communication skills both at 1-1 and group situations • Ability to build rapport with young people • Must have a professional approach and motivated to succeed • Possess excellent time management, administration and problem solving skills As these are regional roles you must hold a clean driving licence as travel within the region is required
