Job Description

Our client, based in Huddersfield, are now looking for a Recruitment & Development Leader to support the Head of HR & Development in the successful delivery of a volunteer strategy whilst supporting leaders and their teams in developing new and existing ways to involve and engage volunteers. As the volunteering expert, you will champion and promote a culture of volunteer involvement, recognition and help us to harness the contribution of everyone who wants to supports us. This role is responsible for ensuring that effective policies, processes and initiatives are in place to reinforce our values and culture whilst keeping people engaged with how the organisation is progressing towards its vision, mission and strategic aims. Key responsibilities are as follows; •Responsible for the end to end journey for our volunteers; •Managing the administration generated from engaging volunteers, including references, DBS, driving checks etc; •Be creative in the strategies used to recruit volunteers with the required skills and experience; •Support leaders with recruitment and selection processes; •Equip leaders with the tools to effectively manage their volunteers and get the most value from their time; •Create and embed a volunteer journey that provides support at each stage of the volunteering lifecycle; •Evaluating volunteer engagement through the creation, management and facilitation of internal surveys; •Providing analytical data to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) that identifies areas for development with solutions; •Administer and manage volunteer expenses within an approved budget; •Support in keeping volunteer attrition rates low and provide measures to retain our most talented people; This role requires an enthusiastic person who has a desire for making a positive difference to our people.
