Recruitment & Engagement Officer Permanent role Full time - 37 hours per week Base: Middlewich, Cheshire Closing date: 27th January 2017 We are currently recruiting for a Recruitment & Engagement Officer. We are looking for one officer to work remotely in the Cheshire west area and one office to work in the Manchester area. (Please state on the application form which area you are applying for) The Recruitment & Engagement Officer role is vital to the continued success of the Recruitment & Engagement team. We have received over 20,000 applications for our Apprenticeship vacancies in the last 12 months and are now looking to expand the team with a motivated professional who wants to help young people take their first steps towards a rewarding career with an Apprenticeship. This role is ideal for someone who has previous experience of working with young people in a training or advisory capacity and who is able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with candidates, employers and agencies alike to meet challenging targets for engagement with and recruitment of Apprentices. Key Responsibilities include: - Filling Apprenticeship vacancies by working closely alongside candidates and recruiting employers alike; - Arranging interviews for candidates, preparing candidates for those interviews, liaising with employers throughout the process to optimising chances of successful recruitment; - Supporting potential candidates with areas which may improve their chances of being successful in gaining an Apprenticeship e.g. advice and guidance on applications and CVs; - Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth transition from Apprentice recruitment to sign-up on to Apprenticeship programme. Essential Skills: - Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining consistently high levels of customer service to candidates and key stakeholders alike; - Adaptability, flexibility and being responsive to the demands of external (employers and candidates) and internal customers; - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; - Highly organised with strong time management skills; - Able to manage the expectations of employers and candidates. - Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car as travelling will be required. Qualifications: A qualification or training in recruitment or a related area is desirable but not essential.
