Our client who is based within the higher education sector, have a temporary role for a Recruitment and Events Assistant. This role will be based in Glasgow city Centre Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, there will be a requirement for extensive travel within this role, therefore a valid driving license is required. The rate of pay will be £10.55 per hour. Candidates must have a PVG certificate to be considered for this role. Reporting into Marketing and Recruitment Manager, will provide effective and efficient support to the work of the Student Recruitment and Marketing Team in delivering high quality information and advice to prospective applicants and stakeholders. This will include undertaking extensive outreach activity, visiting schools, colleges and agents and attending recruitment fairs, often independently. Duties: - Act as an initial point of contact for staff in relation to the services and activity of the Marketing and Recruitment team's recruitment activity. - Support the delivery of student engagement and recruitment activities by offering advice and guidance to prospective students through attendance and participation at mainly UK recruitment events - Responsible for the outreach to new schools and colleges and for the coordination of school and event bookings, through maintaining the team mailboxes and activity calendars - Assist in the collection and maintenance of recruitment data and in the provision of reports and analysis and will help to maintain the team's webpages. Key skills: - HNC level or equivalent relevant experience - Articulate, with attention to detail and strong numeracy skills - Excellent administrative, organisation and time management skills - Ability to plan and manage own workload within deadlines, service level agreements and KPIs - Awareness of current issues within higher education - Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills - Confident public speaker with experience of delivering presentations - Knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly word and excel and basic report writing skills - Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends Desirable Skills: - Understanding of H.E Marketing, Recruitment and Conversion and/ or Brand Management and Multi-Media work activity - Experience of using a CRM system - Experience of using social media for marketing purposes
