Job Description

An experienced HR and Recruitment Assistant is required for a full time, temporary role based in Ashington. The role is part time 18.5hrs per week. The working hours would be over Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm and the client can be flexible regarding days/ hours of work and the role is to start ASAP and on-going initially until the end of January 2017. The job role includes: •Ensure an effective recruitment service which is carried out in accordance with agreed processes, schedules, legislative requirements and the Company's Safer Recruitment Policy. •Advise Managers on specific matters in relation to employment legislation and the statutory requirements in relation to recruitment and selection, safer recruitment and equality and diversity. •Deal with all aspects of the recruitment process, including administering our vacancies on the e-recruitment system (Networx), and dealing with any relevant websites. •Deal with queries in relation to the Networx system, including setting up new users, resetting passwords for users etc. •Dealing with candidates in relation to their applications, arranging interviews and advising managers on the selection process, as well as dealing with new staff appointments. •To ensure that all pre-employment checks and clearances are obtained such as references, DBS clearance, right to work, gaps in employment, etc. •Responsible for ensuring that contracts of employment and offer letters for successful applicants are accurate and administered in a timely manner. •Work with HR colleagues to ensure documentation received complies with the Company's terms and conditions, employment law, liaising with managers and staff in relation to changes to staff employment details. •Accurately and effectively collect employee vehicle information for input into Chris 21 to ensure staff can claim mileage. This includes driving licence, MOT certificate, Insurance Certificate etc. The successful candidate must: •NVQ Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject eg. administration. •Word Processing Skills to RSA 3 or equivalent. •Excellent communication skills. •Excellent interpersonal & networking skills and telephone manner. •Ability to work as a member of a team. •Proven ability of being self-motivated and working without supervision. •Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to meet daily deadlines. •Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy often working to tight deadlines •Extensive diary management skills and experience •Ability to take detailed and accurate minutes. •Willingness to undertake further training. •GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English (Grade A- C) •Willingness to undertake first aid training and become a first aider if required.
