This Huntingdon based internal Recruitment Advisor role is working for a leading Public sector and government organisation on an initial 14 month contract within an initial period working from home then transitioning back into the office on a flexible working basis for this Full time role. The role is to support the administration and delivery of a professional recruitment service which meets business needs
The client operate within the public sector and government arena and have national head offices in Huntingdon which pride themselves on working in an ethical manner and focus on adding value to the country through the services which they provide. This Internal recruitment Advisor role will play a key role in ensuring the organisations services are upheld and improved through the recruitment of highly capable staff across the Group.
Recruitment Advisor duties and responsibilities;
Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation in relation to the recruitment of new, and the
promotion of existing staff, whether on a permanent, temporary, contractor or agency basis.
Respond to enquiries into the department from managers, ensuring that accurate and timely advice is provided.
Organise and administer / host information events, written test events and assessment centres as required.
Provide advice and guidance on the job evaluation process, including the development of job descriptions and person specifications and identifying and implementing improvements to the process where appropriate. Liaise with colleagues in the HR team to ensure job evaluations are completed in a timely manner and accurate records are kept.
Be responsible for specific recruitment / promotion campaigns as agreed, providing professional advice and guidance to managers on appropriate advertising for different roles, selection procedures and be involved in interviewing and assessing as appropriate.
Co-ordinate (and, where appropriate, deliver) feedback to candidates, in line with company policy.
Work with the Recruitment Manager to ensure that recruitment / promotion activities meet organisational needs, operate within legislative requirements and reflect the on-going development of recruitment and selection best practice.
Establish and maintain relationships with external suppliers (e.g. recruitment agencies), ensuring that they understand the organisation's culture and requirements in order that they can provide a cost effective and high quality service which results in high calibre applicants who meet organisational needs.
Work with the Recruitment Manager and in conjunction with colleagues in the HR team to regularly review the template contracts of employment, ensuring all contracts of employment meet legal requirements
In conjunction with relevant stakeholders, support the design and delivery of positive action initiatives, ensuring that the purpose of the initiative is fully communicated and understood across the company and the appropriate target audience.
Accurately record, store, analyse, retrieve and supply information relating to recruitment and selection processes, in accordance with policy, legal requirements and best practice
Co-ordinate all responses to recruitment enquiries and to log and record specific personal data from each application in accordance with data protection requirements.
Co-ordinate the submission and maintenance of recruitment web-pages (internet and intranet) in liaison with the marketing team.
Provide management information as required, by producing regular reports and ad hoc reports / information, in order to inform decision-making.
Work on departmental projects as agreed with the Recruitment Manager, supporting the continual improvement of the recruitment service provided to the business.

The initial 14 month fixed term contract Recruitment Advisor role will require experience of;
Administering/running assessment centres
Working in a recruitment function, managing vacancies from end to end
Handling large scale recruitment campaigns
Sourcing and handling temporary workers
Interviewing and carrying out recruitment testing
