Role: Recruitment Consultant Location: London Rate: £200 to £350 per day Duration: Up to 6 months, review and possible extension An exciting opportunity has come about with one of our key Rail clients who are looking to bring on board an experienced contractor to join their team. The individual will be a subject matter expert in recruitment and selection concentrating on direct sourcing for all vacancies (permanent and fixed term contract) within the clients business by providing a high quality, cost efficient resourcing service. This includes often unique, specialist and highly technical roles which requires a knowledgeable, detailed and often bespoke approach in terms of sourcing strategies. Roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: * Deliver a high-level quality and timely in-house resourcing and recruitment service for the clients stakeholders * Support the Resourcing Business Partner with developing direct sourcing model and any associated methodologies or processes that support increased employer brand awareness and reduce cost per hire * Maintain professional partnership approach with senior stakeholders (Directors, HODs & Managers) within the business using challenge and influence where appropriate with utmost professionalism * Manage the fulfilment of individual vacancies/recruitment campaigns, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, effective employment brand and the delivery of a high quality, cost effective process which results in talent acquisition * Take a lead role in collaborative working amongst HR community to ensure services are delivered seamlessly, promoting a Centre of Excellence model within resourcing * Take a lead role in robust relationships with both internal and external customers professionally; ensuring that confidentiality is observed at all times * Develop social media strategy and online employer brand Skills and Experience * Strong working knowledge and experience of direct sourcing / talent acquisition methodologies, tools and channels including writing adverts, knowledge of advertising media, experience of working with job boards and LinkedIn recruiter etc. * Ability to advise on and write job descriptions and person specifications and an awareness of generic jobs/ roles types * Experience of managing multiple end-to-end recruitment campaigns * Experience of managing candidates e.g. salary discussions, tele-phone interviews * Good evidence of being able to manage upwards and the ability to drive forward campaigns * Selection - experience of selection methodologies including developing in-house materials and buying off the shelf and providing advice on interview questions and selection outcomes * Comfortable undertaking recruitment administration * Able to negotiate and influence with line managers to achieve good recruitment outcomes * Strong commercial acumen and the ability to build relationships and professional credibility with senior executives/directors.
