I’m part of an Engineering Recruitment business that I’ve been proud to call home for 11 years. I fully believe that ATA Recruitment Ltd are the best engineering recruitment company in the market place having seen fast career progression and brilliant earning potential with the business. We are a stock market listed technical recruitment business and our Leicester operation (based just 5 minutes from Fosse Park) focusses on engineering recruitment for a variety of industries. Our office in Leicester is special. The Senior Management Team in our Leicester office have been with the business for over 40 years collectively, you will not find a greater opportunity to learn from true recruitment experts with tons of experience in the market place. Chris Addison, our Head of Region has been with the business for over 17 years, he owns the plan to take our office from a team of 16 to 30 in the next three years and is an inspiration to his staff. Steve Harrhy is the Contract Divisional Manager who manages all of our consultants carrying out temporary recruitment, he is a great man manager and loves to motivate his staff. Then there’s me, Stewart Jackson, the Sales Manager for the office. I’ll help you build your desk, identify your target clients and maximise the potential revenue with clients you are working with. Between the three of us and the extended leadership team in the office you have all your bases covered. What do we want? If you don’t like selling that don’t apply, the key skill to become an expert recruiter is sales, you need to engage with your target audience through phone selling and face to face visits to gain credibility and commitment from the clients and candidates you meet. We also need hunger, drive and passion. Sales ability is great but to be truly great in recruitment you need a goal or a point to prove to go along with it. If you’re not a driven and competitive person this is not the industry for you. You don’t need any qualifications, you could be a new graduate, an experienced sales person or looking for a career change. What we can offer A fantastic office culture. A basic salary of £18,000 – 25,000 dependent upon experience and an uncapped commission scheme
