Job Description

If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you`re not sure you can do it, say yes – then learn how to do it later” – Richard Branson  Leap29 are currently looking for a number of graduates to join our team at our Wilmslow head office in the position of Trainee Recruitment Consultant.  The recruitment industry often gets a lot of bad press; however, this is mostly due to the lack of understanding of the role and the significant impact that a top quality Recruitment Consultant can have on client`s achieving their goals and candidates working careers.  So you are thinking about applying but want to know what to expect in your role as a Recruitment Consultant. Here is a quick summary about what it`s really like.  What It`s Really Like Working in Recruitment - Demanding: Providing a top level service to both clients and candidates is very demanding. You could end up staying late to speak with a key client or coming in early to sort out a contract with a candidate before they start work. All part of providing a top level service. If you are looking for a 9-5 job, then maybe recruitment isn`t for you. It`s the people that go the extra mile that reap the financial rewards. - People, People, People: Recruitment is all about dealing with people and creating new relationships on a daily basis. You will be selling your recruitment services to new clients and communicating new opportunities with potential candidates. It`s essential to have excellent communication skills. - Resilient: Recruitment is not for the faint hearted. There will be days of extreme highs and lows. Each day is different, the good times are very good and the rough times can always be resolved. Be prepared to go through a range of emotions as a Recruitment Consultant. In the end, those with the most resilience will have the greatest success. - Always on the Move: They say that opportunities are like sunrises. If you wait too long you miss them. This is the same with recruitment. Every day is a new opportunity to make a new relationship with a client or candidate. If you are not motivated to make these relationships happen then someone else will. - Highly Rewarding: From the moment you do your first deal the financial rewards will be coming in. The buzz of getting a job from a client, finding the perfect candidate, mentoring them through the recruitment process and getting very well paid for it is not only great for you financially but you also get the benefit knowing that you have had a significant positive impact on someone`s career and future.
