Job Description

Recruitment Consultant Healthcare Job Purpose To manage and develop nursing and homecare services within the branch with a particular responsibility for a designated area or sector, promoting and maintaining a professional, quality and safe service. To recruit & retain suitably skilled healthcare professionals to enable business growth & sustained profitability. To provide key support to the branch staff in delivering the company strategy safely and profitability. To embrace the company vision and values and SustainAbiliities programme, promoting these with all internal and external customers. Key Accountabilities OPERATIONAL To take overall responsibility for a particular designated area or sector as directed by your line manager. To have an understanding of all office procedures in order to effectively participate in the day to day operations of the branch ensuring all practices & processes are in accordance with current legislation and corporate policies and procedures. Seek and log availability of workers at every opportunity and actively source work to suit their skills and availability. Undertake time sheet processing as required. To provide cover and assistance for other staff within the branch as required by your line manager. To participate in the escalation rota as directed by your line manager to ensure the out of hours service is fully supported. COMMUNICATION Provide reports at agreed intervals to your line manager detailing business activity, including marketing and promotions. Ensure you maintain a high standard of work presentation both oral and written. Ensure that all necessary information such as complaints and other relevant local information are conveyed to your line manager. Ensure that all relevant communications from Central Office or other sources are reviewed and acted upon. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT At all times engage in activity to achieve financial targets and ensure that at all times you operate within budget. .BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT To work closely with the Sales and Implementation Managers, Care at Home Team and National Accounts. Respond to all enquiries in a timely and professional manner. Be able to deal with new enquiries, to explain the service effectively and convert such enquiries. Actively seek local business development opportunities and ensure set targets and objectives are followed in order to deliver business growth and that the branch action plan is completed and up-dated weekly. Undertake promotional visits and mailings to prospective clients as required and in accordance with set targets and objectives. Be aware of activities, pay and charge rates of competitors. PERSONNEL To ensure you are issued with Probationary targets and objectives and a suitable Buddy in a timely fashion and fully participate in the induction programme ensuring completion within your probationary period escalating any concerns with the programme to your line manager. Maintain own professional and personal development by participating in training as agreed with your line manager. RECRUITMENT Ensure recruitment processes and procedures are adhered to and all workers are provided with suitable placements in accordance with their skills & competencies. Recruit and select sufficient numbers of workers to fulfil the requirements of the business in line with company standards. To liaise with the Central Recruitment Team and Marketing re: recruitment campaigns to ensure an on-going pipeline of appropriate workers. TRAINING Ensure that all workers are provided with any mandatory training and special training, required for them to undertake assignments and that this is up-dated in accordance with company requirements. In liaison with your line manager to organise and provide, within a budget, a programme of training and study sessions for agency workers both qualified and unqualified. QUALITY Ensure that all client needs are assessed and met in a professional manner and in accordance with company standards. Monitor quality standards both formally and informally on a day to day basis. Follow all quality procedures and participate in internal/external audits both formal and informal as appropriate. Investigate complaints in accordance with Company policy and procedure and in liaison with your line manager ensuring any concerns/issues are reported and dealt with at the earliest opportunity. Ensure that the quality of each agency worker is regularly assessed and that those workers who do not meet acceptable levels are counselled and/or made inactive, in liaison with your line manager. Ensure that regular client contact is made both via telephone & face to face visits and logged appropriately. Personnel & Professional Participate in training sessions as agreed with your line manager. Maintain the highest possible personal and professional standards in terms of personal presentation, method of operation and ethical judgements. Seek advice when unsure of any situation. It is a requirement that you have a full driving licence. Qualification and Experience Experience in working within a customer focused recruitment environment, preferably within the health care sector. Proven ability to work as a member of a team under often demanding conditions. Strong communication, analytically and appropriate IT skills. Numerate and commercially aware. Knowledge of healthcare market. Agency experience is preferable.
