Available Positions: Residential Support Worker Night Residential Support Worker Senior Residential Support Worker Full-time / permanent Competitive salary and benefits Rotating rota basis / overtime available About The Job Our Residential Support Workers are responsible for supporting the young adults in their home and in the wider community. You will also provide residents with a care and support service which is appropriate to their individual needs, enabling them to live as independently as possible within the home and in the community. Experience Skills & Qualifications • Experience of providing care and support to adults, young adults or children. • Have good oral and written communication skills. • Be computer literate. • Experience of working with adults with disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour. • A full driving license is desirable but not essential. Key Responsibilities • Manage the behaviours of the residents. • Promote independence skills and encourage a high standard of personal hygiene for all residents. • Contribute to the residents’ development with practical and emotional support to enable them to participate in the home’s planning and decision making, e.g. domestic & housekeeping, leisure activities etc. • Assist residents in preparing meals on a daily basis, in line with good health and hygiene standards. • As a term of employment, you may be required to comply with Manager’s requests for additional duties/tasks/change of hours made by the Manager, as reasonably requested to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the home.
