RECRUITMENT EVENTS ORGANISER (FOSTERING) This is a TEMP to PERM opportunity Our client is a well-established and progressive FOSTERING Agency providing a comprehensive service within the fostering industry. The Company prides itself on the quality support it provides to its foster carers and to the well-being of the children under its care. The Company has a vibrant fostering community of carers who, between them, have wide and diverse experiences and backgrounds. The Company is people focused and has a team of professional staff providing a 24-hour service. The main purpose of this role is to support the recruitment of potential foster carers (PFC’s) across the Group through efficient, effective organization and running of recruitment events. This role requires an energetic, dynamic individual with a proven track record in of organising and running successful recruitment events. The successful candidate will be required to undertake all necessary planning, preparation and organisation for recruitment activities across the Group. This will include attending events and manning stalls as required and all associated tasks. The successful candidate will be the principal point of contact for all offices within the GROUP of Companies and will build a network of recruitment areas and contacts to secure successful outcomes in the recruitment of potential foster carers (PFC’s). The role will require working with and for a number of satellite offices located principally within the Greater London Area and occasionally at an office in Norfolk and at the Head office in Kent. The role will therefore require driving to other offices/locations as required. Specific Tasks and Responsibilities To be responsible for the organisation of foster carer recruitment events and activities at Group Offices. This will include a range of events throughout the year. The job-holder will work within the marketing team and within an events budget across the Group and will be required to undertake the specific tasks noted below: • To identify a recruitment event timetable across the year with a natural focus on summer events. • To arrange, budget for and attend recruitment events and identify colleagues to assist (Staff and/or potential foster carers). • To ensure the consistent delivery of a high quality corporate image and corporate message to potential foster carers at promotional events. • To be responsible for booking, attending and following up all events – communicating with the marketing team in order to tie in event publicity and collateral. • To pre-qualify potential foster carers and to be confident in identifying those PFC’s that are in a position to foster and those who are not. • To record full details of PFC’s and to provide PFCs with appropriate literature and record all enquiries in the prescribed manner. • To follow up all appropriate enquiries and book them into initial home visits with the most relevant assessment team members. • To monitor progress through the system and update management regularly. • To identify efficiency savings within your remit and identify new and dynamic ways of engaging and recruiting potential foster carers. • Outside of these events and during the quiet season, to identify the next season’s strategy – book events in advance and seek to obtain the best value from the event budget for the next year. •Car owner/driver. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible as there will be recruitment events taking place at weekends, particularly throughout the summer. Preparation time and pre-planning, etc. will be office based, so normal working hours will apply. However, there will be a need work outside the normal business hours, so flexibility is essential. Of course, time will be given back when any weekend or evening work is undertaken. The successful candidate will be pro-active and be able to work on their own initiative. They will have a professional and confident attitude with an enthusiastic and friendly approach to their work. The successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence and will be flexible in their availability and willingness to work outside of usual hours, i.e. at weekend/evening recruitment events as needed. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE • Experience in a sales/recruitment field. • Knowledge of childcare/fostering. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • First class organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. • Confident at building excellent relationships and engaging with prospective carers quickly and effectively. • Competent IT Skills and ability to use specialist database system. • A knowledge of Data Protection/Confidentiality procedures; understanding that the work involved is sensitive and highly confidential. • Education to at least A Level standard or equivalent. • To possess integrity, reliability, energy. • To be able to work on own initiative and take direction from management team. • Articulate and well presented. • A good team player as a member of a dedicated team • Consistent, friendly and willing manner This is a TEMP to PERM opportunity Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (subject to flexibility) £20k - £22K plus … BENEFITS !!!
