Recruitment Manager Manchester Up to £37k Permanent / Full Time   Role Purpose: To develop and manage a recruitment service which assists unemployed Greater Manchester residents into work with key employers such as: - The University of Manchester (UOM); - Construction companies working on the University campus redevelopment and other major projects across the city; - Other employers across the city offering entry level and supervisory roles in a range of occupations. Key Responsibilities: - Engage with and account manage employers including: UOM; construction contractors operating locally; and other employers, across the city, offering entry and supervisory level job roles in a range of occupations - Meet the recruitment and training needs of employers who engage - Implement candidate acquisition plans, which engage with a high number of people seeking education and employment opportunities. - Work with partners, such as colleges and training providers to develop demand-led training programmes which ensure the job-readiness of people seeking work before placing them into roles with employers. - Assess candidate pools against specific job opportunities before submitting candidates and generating high numbers of job outcomes. Ensure that the team closely manage all candidates until they are placed onto a training programme or into work in the shortest possible time to provide a high level of customer service - Manage the daily running of a community-based centre and the services it delivers - candidate generation, advice and guidance to candidates, a local programme of training courses (Maths, English, ICT, CSCS, Facefit, Asbestos etc) and submission of candidates to appropriate vacancies. - Recruit, manage and develop staff operating within the centre Dimensions: - Direct line management of 3 members of staff - Day to day operational management of community-based centre - Attract 800 potential candidates and deliver 240+ job outcomes per year - Manage the direct delivery of training programmes to between 120 and 180 individuals seeking work each year - Manage a small operational budget relating to the running of the centre (Circa £20k) - Account manage up to 30 key employers and 20 referral and training partners - Assist in account managing the UOM, a key customer and partner Essential Skills: - Ability to attract, develop and place candidates into work - Performance management and development of staff - Management of a centre open to the public - Fruitful, output-focused account management of partners and employers - Strong communication& organisational skills - Construction knowledge Experience: - Successful job role/s in a recruitment business or service - Candidate campaign development and management - Account management of employers - Working with partner agencies - Developing, managing and perhaps delivering training programmes (direct delivery or management of others) - Experience of driving quality and compliance alongside delivery of output targets Knowledge: - Knowledge of recruitment practices (in commercial settings or settings designed to assist unemployed people into work) - Construction Industry-specific knowledge and experience would be a distinct advantage given the scale of opportunity locally - Knowledge of training programmes including Apprenticeships, training for unemployed adults and young people  Please note this vacancy is being handled by Aspire Recruitment (agy).
