Recruitment Manager - Redbridge Pay: £30ph umbrella Hours: 36 hour week Duration: 4 month ongoing Sector: Public Scope: Inside IR-35 My local authority client is looking for someone to lead on recruitment, you will work closely with senior managers, management teams and other key stakeholders to build organisational capacity to attract new staff and ensure that they are effectively on-boarded into the organisation. You will keep abreast of key developments to develop innovative and effective streamlined recruitment processes to meet the future workforce requirements and reflect the communities we serve. The role will work on developing the organisations recruitment strategy and build a network of potential candidates using both in-house technology and establishing the use of social media platforms. Main duties: * In collaboration with senior managers to develop strategies, policies and procedures as appropriate. * To lead and manage the Recruitment Talent Team to provide a customer-focused service to the business. * To manage HR related contracts and liaising with internal and external service providers and ensuring that contracts are delivered to agreed outcomes. * To manage the procurement of HR related contracts such as the agency contract to ensure value for money and efficient service delivery to the business. * To lead on the production of regular reports to the business on agency spend, recruitment activity and staffing levels. * To develop a strategic map for skills acquisition and actionable implementation plans addressing directorate needs across council functions to meet their specific hiring needs. * To develop a social media presence on recruitment by working with internal and external stakeholders to build the employer brand. * To establish and develop technology to address and improve HR service delivery and specifically in relation to recruitment systems. * To establish a customer focused recruitment process that effectively link the council’s brand with its strategies to attract and retain a diverse workforce. * To lead on apprenticeship recruitment and manage the apprenticeship levy funds. * To develop an effective and engaging on-boarding process (including on-boarding and offboarding) to ensure employees are well induced into the organisation. Experience: * Educated to degree level or equivalent * Evidence of developing digital recruitment systems and processes with demonstrative improvements and impact for end users * Evidence of developing employer brand via the use of social media advertising platforms. * Experience of designing and delivering effective recruitment strategies. * Experience of budget management. * Significant experience of implementing innovative recruitment solutions in large multi-cultural organisations
