We need to ensure that HMRC is an employer of choice amongst our competitors and that we use suitable methods to reach the right candidates. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starter to join HMRC’s Recruitment Marketing and Attraction team (RMA). We are relatively new function, set up 2 years ago to take responsibility for the following: • Marketing of volume external recruitment campaigns • Providing expert advice and assistance for smaller, specialist recruitment campaigns • Coordinating effective delivery of our employer brand strategy, designed to showcase why HMRC is such a great place to work • Continually evaluating, reporting on and improving our marketing and attraction approach • Helping to transform the candidate experience through insight You will be working mainly on curating new comms material, presentations, insight driven reports and social content for improving the candidate experience. In addition, you will support, social and job platforms when required and help deliver volume external recruitment campaigns. You will identify new and innovative ways of advertising roles, working closely with recruitment marketing and government communication colleagues to develop content which will appeal to the target audience. This will be supported by insights produced by the RMA team and other business areas, helping to target talent acquisition and improve the candidate customer journey. You will use insights to identify the most effective platforms to use depending on the nature of the jobs being advertised, e.g. skills required, business area and location. This is a fast-paced role and you will need to be comfortable managing changing priorities and juggling a number of projects simultaneously, whilst continuously adapting confidently to change. You will need to be comfortable using marketing data and analytics, including labour market and candidate insight, to develop and evaluate attraction strategies, producing engaging content and helping develop targeted marketing plans. Responsibilities Your job will involve: • Supporting the design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of tailored marketing and attraction strategies to increase the reach and effectiveness of our external volume recruitment campaigns and any specialist campaigns. • Helping to produce new, innovative ideas and marketing products to support talent acquisition and deliver optimum candidate experience to keep ahead of competition. • Produce engaging, informative products to support recruitment campaigns, including adverts and candidate information packs. Gathering feedback and insight to continually improve these attraction products. • Engaging effectively with project stakeholders, the communications team and other key stakeholders and delivery partners internal to HMRC and outside the department, including suppliers. • Creating content for various channels such as social and job platforms. • Supporting on content creation for regional centres and outreach activity. • Creating engaging presentations, surveys and supporting collateral for focus group activity. • Producing reports in a creative and engaging way, highlighting key conclusions and recommendations. • Effectively analyse and evaluate the success of marketing campaigns and work confidently with insight and data to make effective decisions and ensure good value for money. • Providing advice and consultancy to customers across HMRC about marketing and attraction. • Supporting senior managers to deliver project workshops and events on key marketing and attraction themes.
