Recruitment Officer  An exciting Recruitment Officer opportunity with a local fire service  Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue are responsible for delivering a fire and rescue service to the 805,000 people of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. They operate from 28 fire stations, 27 of which are operational. Their stations vary in status from being staffed 24/7, 365 days a year, to being completely on-call, meaning firefighters are on call day and night and are alerted to incidents by a pager.  Position: On-call Recruitment Officer  Location: Huntington, Cambridgeshire but can be flexible dependant on location of candidate  Contract type: FTC until December 2018  Hours: 37 hours per week  Salary: £23,398 per annum  Closing Date: 09 August 2017  Assessment Date: 18 August 2017  About the Role:  The Recruitment Officer will conduct recruitment of On-call Firefighters for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service by the running of recruitment campaigns and the associated activities within the community and businesses within Cambridgeshire.  This is a mobile role and as such travelling will be required to all on-call fire station towns and villages within Cambridgeshire. Pool Cars will be available for use as and when required.  About You:  The successful candidate will have experience of managing recruitment campaigns or equivalent and experience of dealing with small and large businesses, both face to face and on the telephone. You will also have knowledge and understanding of the particular challenges facing the Fire Service in relation to on-call recruitment.  Additionally you will have strong customer service and interpersonal skills, truly focused on building effective relationships, both internally with colleagues and externally with potential candidates and business contacts. You will also have excellent IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, Database applications and PowerPoint to prepare well-presented documents.  The ability and willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends on a regular basis is essential.
