Job Description

We are working with a national social justice charity with more than 50 years’ experience of changing lives, building stronger communities and reducing crime. Last year they helped to support, house, educate, advise and speak out for 38,000 disadvantaged young people and adults - and you could help them to make an even bigger impact going forward. What are they looking for? We are supporting our client in their search for a Recrutiment Officer for their Leeds Office. Your role will be to increase awareness of the programmes currently on offer, by our client, and to increase learner numbers on courses. To create new working partnerships to assist with referals and student recruitment. Liaise with schools to attend careers and progression events to maximise post 16 recruitment. What do you need? Essential Experience 1. Previous work in the education sector or recruitment industry 2. Ability to demonstrate and deliver customer focussed approach to students, parents, and outside partners 3. Able to produce and make presentations to an audience about our client in relation to the possibilities of studying at the centre. 4. Networking skills to liaise regualarly with external key and potential stakeholders of Nacro for the purpose of developing and maintaining links 5. Self motivated with an ability to work autonomously but also as an active and supportive member of the team 6. Verbal and written communication skills to deal with queries from and provide information about our client's courses to learners by phone, email, social media, and in person Main skills and abilities 1. To work with line managers to develop and implement our client's local recruitment strategy to the local area. 2. To develop relationships with key stakeholders, in particular schools and colleges outside of the existing partnership agreements. 3. Organise and run a series of external recruitment events, attend school careers and progression events, and attend any external partner recruitment fairs to generate recruitment leads. 4. To manage an induction process to recruit young people onto the courses to meet their needs and abilities. 5. Competent across a range of IT suites including MS Word, Excel and Outlook 6. Able to present informtion to a wide and varied target audience at local recruitment events and at external partner venues. • A personal commitment to equality and inclusion Essential Knowledge and qualification • Level 2 in Maths, English and ICT You will also need to obtain a DBS although candidates with convictions are welcome to apply.
