Job Description

To work alongside Recruitment Consultants, within specific geographical areas, to facilitate the process of sourcing appropriately qualified and experienced teachers. To ensure that all candidate teachers are fully qualified and approved to teach and of an appropriate standard. To be an advocate for the candidates you source and utilising your knowledge of these candidates to encourage consultants to focus on finding employment for priority applicants. To nurture relationships with candidates to encourage exclusivity. To offer support to consultants to enable them to concentrate on confirming the maximum number of placements for the Company. ROLE OF A RESOURCER Place well written adverts on all available job sites on a regular basis Proactively source and identify quality teaching candidates for permanent and long term supply positions Carry out initial vetting of candidates Encourage exclusivity with candidates through the “Right to Represent”. Provide consultant with documentary material to enable promotion of candidate to schools Utilise database to store all relevant details for candidates Update availability of all teachers on the database on a regular basis Make recommendations to consultants of priority candidates. Make initial contact with schools to gather general information to inform consultants and potential candidates about the school SOURCING QUALITY CANDIDATES Write a minimum of 5 jobs each day for the website – according to the priority bookings of a consultant. Run searches on all appropriate CV sites, as required by company Proactively seek alternative means of sourcing teachers, i.e. contacting ITT providers Spend a minimum of 1 hour per day seeking teachers through LinkedIn both in the UK and overseas (for e.g., UK teachers in the UAE who may want to return to the UK) IDENTIFYING QUALITY CANDIDATES Assessing a candidate’s teaching qualifications and experience to ensure suitability Carry out vetting to ensure appropriateness of candidate THE INITIAL REGISTRATION OF A TEACHER Carry out the initial telephone pre-registration of a teacher in line with the company procedure. Send the company Privacy Notice email. Refer any recommended teacher to RC to conduct professional interview, to finalise decision and score applicant Register successful teacher, putting full details on database, ensuring completion of each appropriate field Complete the Relationship Planner as requested Write mini profile for RC Promote teacher to RC Request references and chase Inform admin so that initial check can be made AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS Liaising with the consultant to ensure that all availability information is up to date for all teachers in your area and that this is regularly updated MAINTENANCE OF DATABASE Regular updating of the details of teachers and school contacts on the company database GATHERING INITIAL CLIENT SCHOOL INFORMATION With the aim to increase the Company’s client-base, the resourcer should make contact with schools which are considered to be ‘warm’ or ‘cold’ school in the areas close to client schools. This will help the resource and the consultant to apprise the applicant teacher of essential information pertaining to the school to encourage them to consider vacancies in that school. SPECIFIC SEQUENCE OF TASKS Proactively source and identify quality teaching candidates (new or existing) to add to your “hit list”. Ensure that all candidates are entered on to the database appropriately Discuss the candidate with your link consultant each morning in order to set priorities according to the needs of the consultants (consultant may wish to talk to the teacher immediately if they are a strong candidate) Send ‘invitation to register’ and ‘right to represent’ email Carry out thorough initial vetting of suitable teachers, using companies specified pre-reg questions Ensure that the teacher is appropriately qualified and experienced Establish the needs and preferences of the teacher Promote the services of the company Send the company Privacy Notice email. From your assessment of the candidate, allocate them a score according to their strengths and experience as a teacher. Promote the candidates to the consultants and facilitate the matching process Generate a well-written company CV, following the designated format Obtain 2 professional references from the current or most recent teaching position, ensuring that this is from a senior manager within the school.
