Recruitment Resourcers / Employment Support Officers – sourcing and recruiting apprenticeship vacancies Based Gloucester To £18,000 basic with OTE £25,000 What will the role involve? Through cold call and new business development activity, the role is all about generating apprenticeship vacancies and then finding and working with predominantly young people to fill them. You’ll work in a targeted sales environment, where achieving individual targets and effectively managing employer accounts is critical to success. Some of your key accountabilities will include: Meeting sales targets and other KPI’s. Managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting, to arranging appointments, preparing proposals and presentations, negotiating and final sign up. Providing potential apprentices with impartial information, advice and guidance to help them make informed decisions about which courses they may wish to undertake and how they can achieve their goals. Selling learndirect’s services to employers, encouraging them to employ young people as apprentices. This will include telephone and face to face selling, and upselling where appropriate. Making sure that all sales opportunities and vacancies are fully captured, explored and managed on CRM. Building, managing and maintaining a sales pipeline and ensuring that all pipeline activity is accurately documented and kept up-to-date. Thoroughly researching and understanding prospects’ products, competition and industry. To acquire, develop and become a sector specialist – perhaps in Early Years, Health and Social Care, Dental, or one of our other apprenticeship areas. Follow up apprenticeship leads passed on by 3rd party lead generators within agreed timeframes and process accordingly. To maintain a good working relationship with appropriate referral agencies and to take part in exhibitions, conventions, presentations, etc. to promote learndirect and its services. To participate in sales days to include cold calling, on foot marketing and other sales activities. What skill, experience and qualifications are we looking for? Your application must demonstrate to us: Existing experience (minimum 12 months) in a recruitment or similar business to business sales role and environment. Experience ideally supported by evidence of working with 16 – 18 year olds. Understanding and ability to give effective information, advice, and guidance with regards to apprenticeships and wider vocational learning. Existing experience of cold calling and other new business development activities. A knowledge of government funded training and apprenticeship programmes would be useful. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels. A graduate or equivalent level education would be preferable. The proven ability to use a range of IT systems and technologies. A willingness and ability to travel as required by the role. What’s in it for you?
