Job Description

Recruitment Specialist Reporting into the Head of Business Partnering, job holder will manage recruitment activity and act as an interface between internal management and external suppliers with a view to building a strong employment proposition in the external market place and enabling the company to attract high calibre candidates at optimum cost. • To source high calibre candidates using a variety of different media, including Social Media tools and methods, to promote employer brand in the external market; driving candidates to our Careers Website and working with our external sourcing partners to maximise our ability to resource candidates directly at optimum cost. • To effectively manage the recruitment budget, ensuring there is no overspend and providing reports on spend as and when requested by HRD and Head of Business Partnering. • To fully utilise all direct recruitment channels e.g. linked in, Indeed, the Careers Website as well as the Referral Scheme to ensure reliance on agencies in minimised. To ensure Preferred Suppliers List is maintained and ensure rates and terms of business are regularly reviewed (working with Boots Procurement Team). • To oversee the Applicant Tracking System and ensure Recruiting Managers fully utilise the system so candidates have a positive experience with the company. To deal with systems issues and produce regular MI reports, e.g. Referral Payment report, Monthly MI report and other ad hoc requests. To provide coaching and training to line managers on the portal and keep abreast of upgrades and other systems developments. • To successfully manage the Internship programme to ensure 5 high potential Interns are recruited to commence in August 2017, by working closely with local Universities and utilising online and social media advertising channels. To work with Recruiting Managers to ensure each of their Interns has a development plan in place and their performance is reviewed throughout the period of the Internship • To support line managers in the recruitment and selection process by providing coaching and advice on effective resourcing and selection methods; supporting the development and use of the Recruitment Toolkit and participating in interviews when needed, particularly when recruiting for management positions. To provide advice and support in the design and delivery of Assessment Centres for high volume recruitment campaigns. • Reporting – support the process for providing management information to track key KPIs and use the data to drive improvements. Monitor the recruitment process and provide innovative solutions which reduce time-to-hire. • Administration – Raising p/o requests, dealing with all recruitment related correspondence through the Recruitment Inbox. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: • Sound experience of providing in-house recruitment support as part of a wider HR team. • Experience of coaching & advising at all levels in the organisation. • Strong target focus with self-motivation to drive improvements • Strong customer focus and proven ability to build productive relationships at all levels of the organisation. • Sound knowledge of Recruitment & Selection practices and procedures at all levels, with a particular emphasis on e-recruitment and Social Media channels. • Intermediate Level in Excel, Word and PowerPoint • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems • Highly experienced with competency interviewing techniques • Previous experience of running assessment centres • Experience running an Internship or Graduate programme, including attendance at Careers Fairs.
