Sales Representative / Recruitment Advisor Location Northamptonshire Babcock is one of the UK’s largest training providers offering government funded Apprenticeships and providing work-based learning in the Retail, Hospitality, Social Care and Active Leisure industries. We are looking to expand our team and are seeking a suitable candidate to become a Client facing Consultative Sales Representative. Ideally you will be based around the – Northampton, Daventry, and Wellingborough areas. The position is a full-time, permanent role of 35 hours per week. The role is field based and consists of travelling to various establishments in the – Northampton, Daventry and Wellingborough area in order to promote the benefits of Government funded training to potential Employers and their employees. You’ll therefore need to live somewhere easily accessible to this region and be prepared to travel using your own car. For this vacancy we are ideally looking for candidates with Sales experience, who in addition have an eye for the fine detail and can appraise prospective new learners as to their suitability. Also professionals with a proven track record of delivering against targets, who are able to build and maintain lasting business relationships. The candidate will need to possess excellent organisational and time management skills. The job is focused on marketing for new business and also following up leads/nominations for NVQ’s that come through from our National Contact Centre. So emphasis will need to be on the ability to sell but also convert warm leads into confirmed starts. We also need someone who is organised to work from home, manage themselves and organise their own diary and appointments on a daily basis. ICT skills will play a part in terms of updating minor spreadsheets and the use of Outlook for Calendar and Email activity. Strong effective Customer Service skills are essential as you will be interacting with new employers and perspective learners on a daily basis Our ideal candidate will pride themselves on their exceptional customer service skills and be comfortable working with a ‘hands-on’ approach. The role requires interaction with both internal/ external clients so you will need to have excellent communication skills and be self-assured, confident and engaging with a proven ability in either a Sales or Retail background. Key requirements • Excellent sales and negotiation skills • Good communication and ‘people skills' • Confidence and motivation • Determination and the drive to work towards targets • The ability to work well on your own and also as part of a team • Good organisational and time management skills • The ability to develop in-depth knowledge about your products and markets • Good business sense and a professional manner. Knowledge of apprenticeships would be advantageous although not essential. A DBS (formerly CRB) check prior to commencement of role will be required.
