YSS is a privately owned, industry accredited well respected recruitment company operating out of the bustling City Of Culture, Hull. With an additional branch location in Goole.
Formed in 2011, YSS have quickly become a multi-million-pound business supplying some of the area’s leading companies with top quality personnel.
We are about to start on a very buoyant, targeted 3-year plan, that will see the growth of the business to a level that exceeds all our expectations. As part of this plan we are looking for additional consultants to come on board with us and reap the benefits on the way! The successful candidate will become part of the leadership team embarked on delivering these plans.

YSS are ideally looking to speak to experienced Recruitment Consultants, with a proven track record of business development, especially those responsible for new sales. We are not looking for someone to account manage current clients or manage a high work load of admin. This position is SALES, you will be targeted to win new business, negotiate terms, search and select candidates, manage the full interview process and ensure we give both clients and candidates an excellent service, followed by excellent aftercare.
This is a senior position for a reason, you must be capable of engaging with clients, identifying areas of opportunity and promoting YSS and our services to the maximum. You will be exposed to many local business owners via our extremely strong networking channels, responsible for making and attending appointments, building excellent client relationships and being commercial aware of the area.
Ideally, we are looking to speak to experienced Permanent Recruiters, who are real experts in their field, someone who can hit the ground running, who already understands the concept of recruitment and how the industry ticks. A real champion of Business Development.
It is essential that you come from a B2B sales environment, one where you have been responsible for generating your own leads and executing them.
Excellent business acumen is a real essential, someone who can identify and focus on profit making activity and remain motivated to do so. A member of staff who others aspire to be like and one who clients turn to 1st to manage their recruitment needs.
Prioritising time spent on business development is a real must, its important that paper work is kept in order and compliant, however we are not looking to hire an administrator!
This is a senior position and you will report directly to the Managing Director.
Writing of proposals and tenders
Achieve agreed activity and revenue targets
Cross and upsell at every opportunity
New business gained through a structured and consultative business development approach
Be part of the 3-year growth leadership scheme
Develop industry/sector/subject matter expertise
Capable of managing own desk
Manage, nurture and build relationships with clients and candidates
Develop a deep understanding of client business
Understanding specific requirements for vacancies to be filled
Anticipating future vacancies
Source the most suitable applicants, interviewing them and assessing their knowledge and skill level
Build strong relationships with all relevant applicants
Work and liaise with colleagues in other parts of the business
