Job Description

The Senior Recruitment Consultant will be responsible for developing a division of M3 Healthcare (EU) involving generating, developing and maintaining long standing relationships with clients and candidates in the medical healthcare sector. You will offer a consultative recruitment solution suited to both candidate and client needs. You will be responsible for attracting and matching suitable candidates for client vacancies whilst gaining a detailed understanding of the sector. You will aim to maximize opportunity within your given market to hit and exceed your sales target. You will attract candidates and clients by drafting advertising copy for use in a wide range of media including internal physician networks and partner networks, effective networking, headhunting, social media and through referrals. SENIOR RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for penetrating the medical recruitment market, building a candidate led division. - Achieve and exceed sales target directly related to the number of candidates placed into locum positions. - Actively develop knowledge of the medical recruitment market to enable you to manage client needs and source candidates. - Write and publish relevant job advertisements to attract candidates. - Manage candidate relationships and qualify candidate suitability for current or future vacancies through questioning and referencing. - Manage the recruitment process with candidates and clients from start to finish following best practice and REC (Recruitment and employment Confederation) standards at all times. - Conduct review meetings with clients when necessary. - Maintain and develop active client relationships ensuring high standards of service are delivered, capitalising on the opportunity for repeat business at all times. - Be effective at handling client objections and challenges particularly in relation to attracting new client business. - Learn to understand how to access available doctor networks and utilise the CV database to generate candidates. - Keep up to date records for both candidate and clients in line with REC standards and relevant recruitment industry legislation. - Keep up to date records for both candidate and clients in line with candidate terms of agreement and client terms of business. - Have knowledge of and a good understanding of the standards and legislation governing the permanent medical recruitment industry. - Prioritise work load to ensure working on productive activities to maximise revenue opportunities at all times. - Develop knowledge of the medical recruitment environment; identify potential new business opportunities and the specific recruitment challenges faced in this market. - Receive and review candidates, request pre-employment checks, such as references, where applicable and in line with terms of business and REC standards. - Check the suitability of candidates prior to submitting their details to the client. - Brief candidates on the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job and providing the candidate with a job description. - Organising interviews for candidates as requested by the client and ensuring candidates are kept up to date on progress of their application. SENIOR RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT PERSON SPECIFICATION: You should be passionate about the medical recruitment industry with a driven and tenacious attitude to success. As an experienced recruitment consultant you will need to be results driven with a proven track record of winning new business. You will be a strong communicator with high professional standards. You will have extensive experience and demonstrate confidence in dealing with candidates and managing your client database. Candidates will need to demonstrate: - strong communication skills - a confident and determined approach - the ability to cope with rejection - self-motivation - the ability to work independently and as part of a team - the ability to sell in a competitive market Essential - A good understanding of the medical recruitment sector. - Minimum 12 months' experience of working in the recruitment industry - A good understanding of the NHS environment particularly in relation to medical recruitment - Necessary skills to research and identify new opportunities to gain new clients - Experience of managing accounts and maintaining/developing relationships for multiple customers - Experience and use of CRM systems - ideally eclipse - Understanding of employment legislation and factors affecting the industry
