Senior Recruitment Consultant - Public Sector Pay: £20.53 ph umbrella Hours: 35 hour week Duration: 3 month initially Sector: Public Scope: Inside IR-35 *Local Authority Client* My Local Authority Client are looking for an experienced recruiter to work specifically with the Place department to source candidates into multiple key positions. The Place department has a lot going on at the moment, from London’s largest regeneration project, Meridian Water, building 10,000 new homes, to estate renewal projects, planting forests, writing a new local plan with residents and much more. Duties: * Lead on targeted recruitment campaigns and hard-to-fill roles across the Council, working with hiring managers on initiatives to support their current and future resourcing requirements. * Being an ambassador for the Council, actively promoting and posting roles and updates across various social media streams. Working with staff across the council to obtain content for social media use. * Actively sourcing candidates through CV searches across various job boards and databases. Providing a high level of customer care to talk to candidates about different roles and promoting the council. Continued timely communication with candidates and managers to secure hires. * Provide hiring managers with creative options on methods of candidate attraction and selection (including advice on generic occupational assessment methods available) that ensure the Council reaches a broad market specifically building the Councils employer brand and reach through a variety of channels including social media, specialist search sites and jobs boards to assist in in a seamless and effective resourcing process. * Provide in conjunction with the Resourcing Officers and Business Support Team an efficient on boarding service that supports both the manager and candidate experience from selection decisions through to appointment, achieving KPIs for the department e.g. time to hire. * Designing the use of improvements to the technology used by the team and acting as the technical expert for the Resourcing Officers. Experience: * As a regular and intrinsic part of this role requires you to speak to members of the public in English, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential and consistent with the requirements of this role. This role also requires you to be polite and courteous when conversing with the public. * Substantial experience of providing high quality support in the delivery of business led advice on all operational resourcing and on boarding services, understanding the need of the business and achieving performance targets for resourcing and recruitment activity. * Experience of sourcing candidates through direct contact via various channels including social media and converting to hires. * Proven experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with managers, colleagues and candidates, across all levels
