Senior Student Recruitment Officer (IAG, Youth Work) BLUS43368 Newton Rigg, Penrith Salary £29,510 - £32,234 pa Our client is a large, and growing, specialist land-based College, with centres throughout Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Tees Valley. As a member of the College Marketing team, the Senior Student Recruitment Officer is responsible for building, leading and managing a portfolio of partnerships with feeder schools and colleges for recruitment, liaison and widening participation purposes; to ensure the College attracts sufficient learners to achieve its strategic growth plans. Working with the Marketing and Development Manager and Schools Liaison Officers at Guisborough, Newcastle and York, you will identify and target significant local schools/organisations, which have the potential to generate multiple enquirers/admissions; continually developing strategies to approach these organisations including communications and commercial propositions. Promoting the College’s reputation and offer with some of its most important stakeholders, you must account manage a range of partnerships with feeder schools and colleges; advising on college opportunities and application processes and ensuring the communication of accurate information and feedback between partners. Creating a 12-18 month action plan, identifying key events and taking into account strategic aims as well as wider marketing and campus priorities, you must plan, lead and evaluate a programme of liaison activities/events (visits, taster sessions, master classes, presentations, agricultural shows, workshops, open events) for recruitment and widening participation purposes. Educated to degree level or equivalent and with a relevant postgraduate or professional qualification in IAG, counselling and guidance, youth work or youth leadership, you should have considerable experience of working with young people or education-related organisations and of delivering activities/services in respect of child protection and H&S. Able to influence and persuade across varied stakeholder groups, you will have experience of delivering formal presentations, workshops and seminars and a track record of corporate representation, professional conduct and work delivery involving responsibility and judgement, under pressure and unsupervised. Ideally, you will also have events and project management experience and an understanding of websites as a marketing and communications tool and use of social media to engage.
