Job Description

Taskmaster Resources Ltd are looking for an experienced marketing coordinator, preferably from a Higher Education background for a 12 week contract at the University of Huddersfield to commence 3rd April 2017. The Role The overall purpose of this post is to play an integral role in the development and delivery of the University’s marketing and student recruitment activities, working in particular with the School of Computing and Engineering to develop and deliver its marketing plan and the University’s Marketing Strategy. MAIN TASKS 1.Develop and implement subject-based marketing and recruitment activity focusing on full-time undergraduate home student. This includes: the development of key messages, copy, imagery, video content etc for a range of online and offline media to ensure undergraduate recruitment targets for specific subject areas are achieved. 2.Oversee the production and distribution of marketing material in line with University and School key messages, and the University’s brand identity, including appropriate customer-focused subject area collateral and content. 3.Work closely with senior management and marketing colleagues in Academic Schools and build effective working relationships with academic and support staff colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to student recruitment and marketing. 4.Promotion of best practice and provision of expert marketing advice. 5. Utilise marketing research and existing market intelligence information to identify and prioritise recruitment activities and target areas. 6.Work with colleagues in the central Marketing team including fellow Coordinators to ensure a consistent approach which reflects the University Marketing Strategy and key messages. 7.Work with colleagues in Academic Schools and the central marketing team in the organisation of targeted subject based student recruitment events, including school visits, focus days, applicant visit days, open days, etc, and alumni events, ensuring a high standard of face to face customer service, and undertake evaluation of each event to inform future activity
