Please ensure that this is completed in full in order that you application can be reviewed JOB TITLE: Supervising Social Worker (Initially with responsibilities for Carer Recruitment) LOCATION: Midlands SALARY: up to £31,000 pa plus Car Allowance of £3,000 CLOSING DATE: 11th September 2018 Initially, for a period of 9 - 12 months, you will be responsible for the following: Recruiting and assessing prospective foster carers in accordance with organisational policies and procedures, under the supervision of a senior manager: * Initiates and carries out local recruitment activities, analysing the effectiveness of methods used, in conjunction with the Carer Recruitment Officer * Participates in national recruitment activities * Undertakes initial visits * Carries out stringent assessment and completion of Form F Assessments to standard, presenting reports to panel * Ensures that Foster Carer Agreements and necessary documentation is completed prior to placement Along with being a qualified Social Worker, you will have experience with the recruitment of foster carers and you will ideally have marketing experience. You will need to be able to demostrate assessment skills and be able to travel throughout the region. After this time you will become a Supervising Social Worker, holding a case load. Supervising Social Workers are responsible for managing foster resources in an allocated area, recruiting, assessing, supervising, training and supporting foster carers and their placement's, ensuring that we provide quality and professional services. We are looking for experienced social workers who can demonstrate recent experience in fostering and who share our ongoing commitment in providing excellence in the quality placements we provide for the children and young people in our care. You will need to be a qualified Social Worker and hold HCPC registration and possess a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and their impact on fostering services. You will be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, have good IT skills and be flexible and able to travel throughout the area.
