Job Description

Connex Education has had an incredible 12 months. Due to completely revolutionising our recruitment process, our sights are set on national growth and we are seeking ambitious and outgoing candidates who want to embark upon a financially rewarding sales career and help us grow our business. As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant you will be responsible for generating relationships and building business with local schools that require supply teaching cover. An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Liverpool city centre office, right in the heart of Liverpool One. We are looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant who is eager to learn on the job and hone their skills. We consider ourselves a people business and we understand that all the best sales people have to start somewhere - if you've got potential and a big personality, then we're prepared to give you the chance to shine. If you are passionate about starting a career within sales, have great people skills, and are motivated financially and by the drive to succeed, then you could be exactly what we're looking for. We are proud to reward success both financially and with opportunities for progression - with possibilities for Team Leader positions and access to a manager development programme open to those who demonstrate their worth within the company. It's not just our branding that's different - we're completely different from every other agency in the industry. And working at Connex Education won't be like anywhere else. Elsewhere you'll be expected to write adverts, source candidates, conduct interviews and obtain all necessary compliance checks on top of developing your desk - but we have dedicated teams to take care of that for you. As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant you will be responsible for generating business by cold-calling schools and selling our services - our fantastic bank of teachers and teaching assistants, as well as the vast array of perks and benefits we offer our clients. This isn't your typical 9-5 - you're not going to be sat at your desk all day; at Connex we believe in visiting schools to generate business as often as possible so you'll find yourselves out and about every week. You must have access to your own car for this - but don't worry, we've got the petrol bill! Most agencies will ask you to work long hours week-in, week-out - not us. We let you work shifts - so if you start early, you leave early, and if you have a lie in and start late? well, you'll need to leave a bit later too! We don't believe in stuffy, corporate environments: we have a casual dress code (wearing a suit isn't going to help you make better sales calls!) and run weekly in-house competitions where you can win everything from pizza and beers to extra days annual leave. What do we offer? Fantastic routes for progression - access to a manager development programme Relaxed working environment - casual dress code Comprehensive training and company sponsored qualifications Regular sales incentives and competitions - chances to win additional annual leave Fantastic uncapped (and realistic!) commission structure Great hours of work - 7:30-4, 8:30-5, 9:30-6 dependant on business need 25 days annual leave - increasing with length of service Reduced hours during school holidays Christmas shutdown And finally? death in service (although hopefully we're never in a position to have to pay this!) What are we looking for? A drive to succeed - evidence of working and beating set targets An understanding of the education recruitment industry Excellent communication skills A resilient and outgoing personality If you are ready to start your career with Connex Education then apply today and one of our dedicated consultants will be in touch soon! Connex Education is a high quality, service-led education supply agency which puts its people - not its profit - first. We concentrate on finding the right people, with the right skills and attitudes, for our schools. We hand-pick our staff, put them on our own payroll, and give them the same dedicated attention and support that we give our schools. Looking after people is central to our business: it's what has earned us our excellent reputation
