Trainee Recruitment Consultant Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission + Fast Progression + Incentives & Rewards SmithCorp are currently recruiting for Trainee Recruitment Consultants to join our well established, growing business. Since opening in 2004 as one single recruitment brand, we now have a further 5 successful brands based across 4 offices – Bristol (Clifton & Portishead) London (Paddington) and Cornwall (Truro). We are a market leading, specialist, recruitment agency boasting an impressive reputation in the Education sector. When considering a new job opportunity, our first instinct is often to focus on the starting salary but it’s also important to look at a job’s long-term potential. Some positions have high first-year pay but limited upward mobility. Here at SmithCorp we operate a meritocratic environment meaning you are in control of your own earnings. Realistically you will earn between £25-30k in your first 12 months with us – this will also include a £3k rise to your basic salary as you’re promoted from a trainee to a consultant. Within 18 months here, you should be on target to earn £40k+ and within four years, you will be earning in excess of £80k+. Many top consultants in the company earn a six figure salary however there is no limit on your earnings and we have a number of consultants who have earned over £45K in their first year at SmithCorp – what you put in here is what you will get out! This is a trainee position meaning no previous recruitment experience is required. We pride ourselves on organic growth – we solely invest in trainees. Every Manager and Director you meet within the group will have all undertaken our bespoke in-house training programme. You will be assigned a mentor on your first day with us, usually a top biller who has been in the company between 18-24 months. You will have regular meetings with them ensuring you have all the tools to become the best specialist recruiter in your market. Irrespective of your current profession we recruit from a variety of backgrounds – Graduates, Hospitality, Retail, Forces, Legal, Sports, Estate Agency.. The common theme is that you are highly driven, competitive, self-motivated and have a clear set of personal goals which you are willing to work hard to achieve. You will also need to meet high standards of personal presentation and possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to work under pressure.
