About the job Your job as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant / Resourcer will be attracting candidates by using a wide range of media and drafting advertising copy for use on social media /networks, attending events, recruiting and through referrals. Once you have found suitable candidates, you will screen and interview candidates, conducting background checks, and matching candidates to jobs. Naturally, with the role, it is a consultative job and you will need to advise both clients and candidates on salary levels, training requirements and on job opportunities. As well as this, you'll use sales, marketing techniques, networking and business development techniques to attract business from companies. You must develop a good understanding of companies and their business is key, in order to build better stronger relationships with companies. You will be based in the heart of Glasgow, within easy walking distance of Glasgow Central, Queen Street and Charing Cross Train Stations. What skills are needed for the job? To be successful in your job as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant / Resourcer, you will need to have worked in an environment where you have had to meet sales/customer service targets as a minimum. We are open to all kinds of sales but those with telesales experience are going to be advantageous. It does not matter if you don't have a degree, providing that you have a proven experience in that environment. Excellent communication skills - You need to be able to prove that you've been able to talk your customer's language and really get to know them. As with most companies, we have a lot of jargon to learn and we pride ourselves on knowing our customers. Ability to influence and negotiate - Sometimes candidates aren't going to get exactly what they want and you'll need the ability to really understand their needs and ensure that there is always a win : win situation. Competitiveness - It's a sales role so having that inert nature to be the best you can be is important. You don't have to be competitive against others if that's not you, however as long as you want to always better yourself and provide the best possible results then you are who we want. Desire to succeed - You will be constantly challenged and will often have highs and lows throughout the day. Recruitment is in the service industry and in order to provide a great service, we have to provide great results. No matter what the situation is, you'll have to always succeed at every task. Salary and benefits We pay a basic salary of £15,000 as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant / Resourcer which rises with each promotion and you will be set a target from day 1 to work towards. You'll have targets to achieve to incentivise you to achieve these targets such as lunch club where you'll be taken out to lunch for the afternoon with your Manager and others in your team to congratulate the work you're doing. We also have quarterly and yearly incentives where our highest performers are taken away on holiday to places like Las Vegas, Dubai, Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin.
