A business-to-business sales role centred around building long-lasting, professional relationships with clients and candidates, recruitment is one of the only industries where you truly get out what you put in. We operate with a transparent, meritocratic promotion structure which enables you to move through the ranks of the business by hitting targets in addition to a lucrative commission structure, uncapped and with no threshold, which allows you to truly to be rewarded for the work you put in – the harder you work, the faster you will be promoted and the more money you will make. Recruitment is not a “get rich quick” scheme – you can make good money quickly but in order to achieve serious earning potential, you will need to put in the initial leg work. Our in-house performance academy, Bushido, offers industry-leading training throughout your career. Building a company consisting of 4 office locations and 6 brands in just 12 and a half years by only hiring trainees with no recruitment experience. As a trainee, you will embark on a Mentorship programme, pairing you alongside one of the companies’ top billers and allowing you to train with the best, to be the best. Working in “vertical markets”, you will specialise and have the opportunity to own your clients and candidates, receiving no negative competition from your colleagues and creating a competitive yet fun, sociable environment. What would my career realistically look like? 1st Year – You should hit at least two promotions, progressing from “trainee recruitment consultant” to “consultant” and undergo a minimum of three training courses including a mentorship with one of the top billers here. There is no probation period and you have the ability to earn commission from day 1. Within your first 12 months, you should be set to earn between £25-30k however hardworking consultants have earned over £40k. 2nd Year - You should be set to achieve a senior consultant promotion and on track to become a manager with your basic increasing by as much as £7k. Realistically you should be set to earn between £35-40k however, again, hard-working consultants have earned in excess of £55k in this year. 3rd Year – You should be managing a team of between 3 – 5 consultants with your mind set on growing your team further. Realistically you should be set to earn between £50-60k however, again, the reward for those who go above and beyond expectations can expect to earn much higher. 4th Year- You should be leading an established team of between 5 – 10 consultants and earning anywhere between £80 – 100k and progressing towards Associate Director level. Consultants who consistently hit targets can expect invites to three all-inclusive 5* holidays a year – Las Vegas, Portugal and a ski trip as well as Monthly Lunch Clubs. New trainees are often on our trips. It’s very simple - hit your target and you will be on the plane! Additionally, you will receive a gym membership, company pension and healthcare plan. We reward longevity with Rolex targets. We offer the opportunity for consultants to volunteer abroad with our SmithCorp charity every year with previous trips to Tanzania, Laos and Cambodia. Previous experience is absolutely not required for this role. We’re looking for individuals who are bright, trainable and driven to be successful – this could be financially and/or in terms of progression. Any background is considered with many of our top consultants coming from hospitality, retail, sales, sports, the Forces or even fresh grads.
