Job Description

Context UCL is improving and strengthening recruitment practices. A key development is the establishment of a Unitemps branch. This will be UCL’s recruitment agency with both an online presence and a physical branch located in the heart of our Bloomsbury campus. The agency will provide temporary staffing solutions to internal departments across UCL, as well as commercial clients. This service will build useful employability skills for students whilst providing a cost-effective solution for temporary staffing needs across UCL. Financial profit generated by Unitemps will be re-invested into the University, contributing to our academic mission. Main purpose of the job To contribute to the establishment and development of Unitemps at UCL, ensuring its success through engagement with key stakeholders, including internal and external hiring managers, students and alumni. Duties and responsibilities: Building the business * Liaise with key stakeholders to discuss recruitment needs and recommend the service accordingly * Advertise vacancies, shortlist and interview candidates * Ensure all records are updated on the CRM and compliance procedures are adhered to * Network with key stakeholders to promote the Unitemps service * Contribute to the development of a sustainable plan to maximise opportunities to generate internal sales volumes across the University * Promote Unitemps across the University by organising and taking an active part in job fairs/open days * Identify opportunities to expand usage and cross-sell other services * Contribute to contract and price negotiations with clients to get the best possible deal Looking after your customers * Keep in touch with customers regularly to offer support and check on progress. * Get to the bottom of any service or performance issues quickly, escalating if necessary * Utilise marketing channels and disseminate original material to inform and attract stakeholders Staying on track * Plan work appropriately in order to achieve mutually agreed KPI’s * Foresee busier periods and plan workload accordingly * Stay on top of potential candidate supply and decide the best way to attract suitable candidates for each role Person specification Criteria Essential or Desirable Qualifications, experience and knowledge Degree qualified or equivalent - Desirable Relevant professional qualification in recruitment or CIPD qualified - Desirable A sound understanding of the recruitment market, with proven experience in business to business sales and business development at a senior level - Essential A proven record in achieving recruitment sales targets, and identifying and acting upon new sales and marketing opportunities - Essential An awareness of new developments within recruitment, particularly with regards to legislative changes - Essential Experience of using a CRM database - Essential Experience of using job boards and utilising marketing channels, specifically social media - Desirable Experience of working within the Higher Education sector - Desirable Skills and abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop long-term relationships with clients at all levels - Essential Organisational skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced working environment - Essential Computer literacy in the use of Microsoft Office applications and online recruitment methods - Essential Personal attributes Commitment to excellence in service delivery - Essential Tenacious and resilient in the face of conflicting demands - Essential Sensitivity to, and respect for, other cultures and value systems, along with a commitment to equality and diversity principles - Essential A flexible and creative approach to work, demonstrating self motivation and initiative - Essential
