Job Description

Volunteer Recruitment Administrator - Matlock - Permanent - Full Time (37.5 hours per week) - GBP 15,519 to GBP 18,086 per Annum We are looking for someone to join the Volunteering Team at YHA to support the recruitment of volunteers by ensuring safe recruitment practices are maintained at all times and by providing advice to new and potential volunteers. You will support current volunteers to get the most from their involvement with YHA and assist YHA employees to provide volunteers with a high quality experience. Responsibilities include: * Co-ordinating volunteering placements throughout the network * Maintaining records and providing reporting information * Supporting staff and volunteers in using the volunteering information system * Organising and carrying out telephone/online interviews with potential volunteers * Administering DBS checks for volunteers and ensuring compliance with safe recruitment practices * Managing enquiries by email and telephone * Support the team with administration and event organising task, including organising training courses and meetings * Updating content on the volunteering website * Processing of volunteer expenses You will also represent YHA at external events and the job requires occasional travel. In order to be considered for this position, we are looking people who: * Experience working within a clerical or administrative role requiring attention to detail * Ability to demonstrate understanding of volunteering ethos and good practice * Confident communicator with the ability to interact and relate to all levels of staff and build strong working relationships. * Strong organisational skills. * Experience of interviewing (desirable) * Good judgment and decision making skills. * ICT literate, proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages including e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet applications. * Flexible approach to working, including some weekend working and occasional visits to hostels in England & Wales. * Current full driving license (desirable) At YHA, we believe you work hard for us, so we work hard for you.
