As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, they support pupils growing up in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the UK.  The City Year experience empowers these exceptional and diverse young people to realise their aspirations and grow as leaders, both through their impact on children`s lives and through training, coaching and career development opportunities.  Position: Volunteer Recruitment Officer  Location: Birmingham, West Midlands  Job type: Full-time, permanent  Hours: 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday  Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 dependant on experience  Benefits: 25 days holiday per year (pro rata of full time) plus one additional day per year after two years of employment, capped at a maximum of 28 days, and a range of other great benefits.  Close for applications: 11am Wednesday 31st August 2016  About the role:  This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast growing organisation that recruits and develops young leaders that will transform the educational and social outcomes of pupils across the UK. City Year UK is looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual for a permanent, full-time role working at their Birmingham office supporting the recruitment of volunteers.  You will report to the Recruitment and Programme Manager, whilst having the responsibility and autonomy to search for exceptional leaders that are motivated to drive and shape social change.  Within this role you will contribute to delivering an efficient and effective end to end recruitment service, supporting the selection and on boarding processes recruiting high quality volunteers aged between 18 and 25. This will ensure outstanding volunteers are recruited and retained so that they are able to deliver excellent outcomes for the schools and pupils they work with.  About you:  To succeed in this role, you will be experienced in working within a recruitment, university, college or careers setting. Have experience managing applications using an ATS (applicant tracking system) or CRM database. You should also have previously worked within a data driven setting, possess an awareness of good data management practice, and be a competent user of databases and desk office software.  Educated to degree level or equivalent, with knowledge of UK school leaver and graduate markets, the ideal candidate will have an understanding of the education sector, youth social action and the volunteer sector.
